Words printed on the sleeve: He came from Russia, but spent the most important years of his life in Berlin. In the first half of the 1930's Ilja Livschakoff was amongst the most popular and productive conductors in Germany. He and his orchestra played in th eballrooms of Berlin and recorded hundreds of records, until he was forced to emigrate from Germany by the Nazis. Now, for the first time ever on CD: a variety of his best recordings.
