Fred. The name is simple, like the character, like his music, which
shows the thougths from an author / composer / singer in "perpetual
motion". To leave or to stay, the city or the countryside, stupid or
happy ... The whole, without any melancholy. The tone remains right,
even by exhaling irony and sensuality. The voice-guitar choice
amplifies this authentic introspection which he wants to share
since "from this side of the world", first title recorded in 1998,
thanks to France Bleu Radio (Radio France) to its return of Argentina.
And this duet, which functions with wonder, is enough to bring us
into his world. A world full of travels, fading away all the
stereotypes of the charismatic singer and his guitar "around
the world", militant of the lost causes. Its curiosity surely
brought him towards other horizons, source of inspiration and
pledge of an open mind. And its texts of a great acuity, are most
of the time influenced by all his meetings and led him to original
collaborations. Especially the one with musicians in Ethiopia,
where he did few concerts to the French Alliance, giving birth to
the beautiful title " Nikin Nan Yale" with the singer Zewuditu.
Not really committed nor vehement, but he goes against the current,
till the border... of blues, french music... He can't be restricted
to any precise musical category and it's obviously the sign of a
singular talent.
