Gerry Brown is a prime example of a singer / songwriter who has paid
his dues and the wealth of experience he has accumulated is now paying
off. The forthcoming album "Creeslagh Hill" emphasises Gerry's unique
vocal style with songs such as "It Wasn't alwas Like This", "Forever
More", "Harmony", "Camp Out In your Garden" and "Can't Find A Way".
This Album is sure to finally establish Gerry as a household name.
His success follows a lengthy "apprenticeship" in the music business.
He was 12 years old when he wrote his first song and at 15 he began
working at Chappel Studios In London. Since
then Gerry has gone on to become an accomplished studio musician,
session singer and performing artist. In addition to appearing as
an artist on ITV, BBC and RTE Irish Television, Gerry has written
the music for and appeared on "Wake Up Sunday" a network TV series
for BBC. He has also featured on a BBC radio series based on
singer/songwriters. When Gary Newman left his band "Tubeway Army",
Gerry then teamed up with the remaining members for recording and
performing. Apart from his undoubted qualities in the studio he has
also shown his worth on the other side of the glass having worked
as a studio engineer and record producer.
As an artist Gerry Brown has built up quite a following from his
exciting live gigs as well as his varied television and radio work.
Previous singles, "Mary Said" and "It's Alright", received
extensive UK radio airplay and amongst the television shows he
appeared on are BBC's "Freddie Starr Showcase", "BBC Pebble Mill",
"ITV Seaside Special", "The Entertainer", ITV's "Dana & Guests",
"UTV Kelly's People", "STV The Road To The Highways", and RTE's
"Live at 3", "Bibi Baskin Dana Special" and "RTE Live At
The Olympia".
