SHUKY and AVIVA were without a doubt one of the most biggest French
band of the '70s.
The band had an international career as well, thanks to a series of
popular love songs inspired by the sounds of South America.
From 1972 to 1978 SHUKY and AVIVA released one hit after another:
'L'AMOUR, C'EST LA MUSIQUE DE LA VIE', 'VIENS QUE JE T'EMBRASSE',
and 'BYE BYE A BIENTOT' have become classics.
SHUKY met AVIVA in the early 1970s while working on the musical
'HAIR'. They soon launched their duo with the song 'SIGNORINA
CONCERTINA', which sold over two million copies throughout Europe.
Following the success of their first album, SHUKY and AVIVA often
performed with their close friend, the french singer MIKE BRANT.
After the Band split up in 1978, AVIVA began a solo career, while
SHUKY composed the music for over 200 cartoons including GOLDORAK
and ULYSSE 31.
In the mid' 80s, SHUKY created and produced the
cult children's series 'POWER RANGERS' which has made him a
millionaire.
In 1997 fans of the band were thrilled to hear that SHUKY and
AVIVA would reunite for a special concert honouring Israel's
50th anniversary. But unfortunately the reunion was just a rumour
...
SHUKY and AVIVA have separated for good. May be, like the group
ABBA, they prefer to let the memories of good times live on only
in the minds of their fans around the world. You too can discover
the sound of SHUKY and AVIVA now for the first time on CD. The
'Best Of' contains twenty of their cult hits!
